Hungarian town weighs 1.5 tonnes, the world's largest book

Interestingly, the traditional paper-making father and his son, Bella Varga and Gabor Varga, completed the book in 2010 after several years of hard work. Although the skin is still handmade in the traditional way, it has taken a long time to prepare. The finished book weighs 1420kg with a length of 4.18m and a width of 3.77m.



The world's largest book contains a total of 346 pages, mentioning Hungarian animals and plants that are decorated with beautiful images. After its creation, 71-year-old Bella Varga said it was impossible for us to make a bigger book. According to him, the whole book has been compiled in the same way as the paper was used in the traditional way.



Special tables and equipment were shipped to Switzerland for the paper laid out for its preparation. However, leather made from cow skin was purchased from Argentina. All edges of the book were trimmed with laser rays and the paper was procured from a special factory located in Austria. A large printer was created on the order for printing, which prints large advertisements. This book needs six people to open it in the middle!


The book, titled Our Critical Natural Asset, is still the largest book in the world, made by hand.
